This set has no wound "C" string... all strings in the set are NYLGUT AQUILA UKULELE STRINGS.... These strings are made solely for musical instruments.... and they don't use the same nylon strings for ukuleles that they make bristles for tooth brushes and scrub brushes.

These strings sound like the old gut strings, but louder.... and are not sensitive to temperature and humidity variations like gut strings do.
